Production Supervisor (Exempt)

【Main Duties】

・Supervise/manage manufacturing department within Production Division

【Descriptions】

  1. Draft and submit daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on orders received
  2. Check and request/order raw and packaging materials to Purchasing, based on production plans
  3. Plan schedules and arrange workers based on production plans
  4. Oversee and train employees (train and instruct workers about procedures, safety and sanitations)
  5. Log daily production report and submit to managers
  6. Draft various plans necessary for production control, suggest/improve productivity
  7. Understand HACCP and maintain compliance by creating/amending rules and procedures, as well as training employees. Keep good relationships with other departments
  8. 【Other】 As assigned by management

【Qualifications and Skills Required】

  1. Experience in production control/analysis, labor management and inventory control (Minimum 3 years)
  2. Have knowledge/experience in food manufacturing and related equipment and machinery (Minimum 1 year) – Maintenance work skills/experience is a plus
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with other departments/teams as a team leader
  4. Have knowledge/experience in Food Code/laws/regulations, drafting/updating company rules/standards in relation to HACCP, SQF, FSMA, etc.
  5. Experience in training/instructing 2 or more subordinates (Minimum 1 year)
  6. Lift and carry items weighing 40～50 Lbs.
  7. Microsoft Office (Excel: draft/update production plans/instructions/various reports), enter/extract data from the Company’s database
  8. Language: English (native/business conversational) and Japanese (conversational) – instructions/orders from management includes Japanese documents
  9. Experience in training and leading a team, as well as strong leadership to maintain morale.

【Work Hours】  Mon. – Fri., 06:00 – 15:00 (core time)

【Report to: 】    Warehouse Supervisor and/or Production Manager

【Salary/Wage】 $65,000/year or DOE (Exempt)
