Production Foreman/Lead (Nonexempt)

【Main Duties】

・Assistant for production supervisors, various management tasks including labor control.

【Descriptions】

  1. Draft and submit daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on orders received
  2. Check and confirm enough amount/qty. of raw and packaging materials on hand to fulfill orders/plans
  3. Have knowledge on production flows and equipment operations, train subordinates and troubleshoot issues
  4. Plan schedules and arrange workers based on production plans
  5. Oversee and train employees (train and instruct workers about procedures, safety and sanitations)
  6. Suggest/propose items that can be improved and implement changes
  7. Understand HACCP and maintain compliance – keep good relationships with other departments
  8. 【Other】 As assigned by supervisors and management

【Qualifications and Skills Required】

  1. Production control/management experience (Minimum 1year)
  2. Have knowledge/experience in food manufacturing and related equipment and machinery (Minimum 1 year) – Maintenance work experience is a plus
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with other departments/teams as a team player
  4. Have knowledge/experience in Food Code/laws/regulations, drafting/updating company rules/standards in relation to HACCP, SQF, FSMA, etc.
  5. Experience in training/instructing 2 or more subordinates (Minimum 1 year)
  6. Repeatedly lift and carry items weighing 40~50 Lbs.
  7. Microsoft Office (Excel: draft/update production plans/instructions/various reports), enter/extract data from the Company’s database
  8. Language: English (native/business conversational) and Japanese (conversational) – instructions/orders from management includes Japanese documents
  9. Flexibly assign and manage employees and their time schedules

Location】       Santa Fe Springs

【Work Hours】  Mon. – Fri., 06:00 – 15:00 or 08:30 – 17:30, plus overtime

【Report to: 】    Production Supervisor and/or Manager

【Salary/Wage】$24/hr. or DOE (Nonexempt)
